What is it used for?
Used mainly to relieve symptoms of allergic rhinitis, such as sneezing, runny or blocked nose, itching, and watery eyes.

How does it work?
Montelukast blocks substances called leukotrienes that contribute to allergy-related inflammation. Levocetirizine blocks histamine, reducing allergy symptoms.

How to take/use it
Take by mouth exactly as prescribed. Swallow with water and do not take more than the recommended amount. This medicine is not a rescue treatment for a sudden asthma attack.

Common side effects
Sleepiness or drowsiness, headache, tiredness, dry mouth, nausea, and stomach discomfort.

Precautions
Avoid driving or operating machinery if drowsy, and avoid alcohol as it may increase sleepiness. Inform the doctor about kidney disease or other medicines being taken. Stop the medicine and seek medical advice if unusual mood or behaviour changes, disturbing dreams, agitation, depression, or suicidal thoughts occur.
