What is it used for?
This medicine is used for asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), bronchitis and other breathing conditions with thick mucus and narrowed airways. It helps loosen mucus and makes breathing easier.

How does it work?
Acetylcysteine breaks down and loosens thick mucus in the airways. Acebrophylline helps relax the airway muscles and improve airflow.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as prescribed by the doctor. Follow the instructions on the label and do not change the dose or duration yourself. Take with water and do not stop treatment without medical advice. This medicine is not meant to provide immediate relief during a sudden severe breathing attack unless specifically advised.

Common side effects
Nausea, vomiting, stomach discomfort, diarrhoea, headache, dizziness and palpitations may occur.

Precautions
Do not use it if allergic to acetylcysteine, acebrophylline or similar medicines. Inform the doctor if there is heart disease or an irregular heartbeat, low blood pressure, liver or kidney disease, stomach ulcer, seizure disorder, pregnancy or breastfeeding. Seek urgent medical help for severe breathing difficulty, facial or throat swelling, or a severe skin rash.
