Multicaine Gel (Oxetacaine 10 mg + Aluminium Hydroxide 380 mg + Magnesium Hydroxide 98 mg)

Composition:

Each 5 ml contains:

Oxetacaine – 10 mg, Aluminium Hydroxide – 380 mg, Magnesium Hydroxide – 98 mg, Flavoured gel base q.s.

Description:

Multicaine Gel is an antacid with a topical anaesthetic combination.

Oxetacaine provides powerful and long-lasting local anaesthesia in the stomach, giving rapid pain relief from acidity, heartburn, and ulcer-related pain.

Aluminium Hydroxide and Magnesium Hydroxide neutralise excess gastric acid and relieve hyperacidity.
This combination provides fast symptomatic relief from gastritis, acid reflux, epigastric pain, indigestion, and peptic ulcer discomfort.

Precautions:

Avoid use in renal impairment due to aluminium/magnesium accumulation risk.

Use cautiously in pregnancy and breastfeeding only if advised.

Avoid in patients with known hypersensitivity to oxetacaine or antacids.

Do not consume alcohol or spicy food immediately before/after use.

Not recommended for long-term use unless prescribed.

Maintain a 2-hour gap before or after other medicines (antacids may affect absorption).

Do not exceed the recommended dose.

Keep away from children.

Adverse Effects:

Constipation (due to aluminium)

Diarrhea (due to magnesium)

Taste disturbance

Mouth numbness or throat numbness (rare)

Nausea or abdominal discomfort

Allergic reactions (very rare)

Storage:

Store below 25–30°C, in a cool and dry place, protected from light.
Keep the bottle tightly closed and out of reach of children.
