Mupinate Cream (Mupirocin 2.0% w/w)

Composition:
Mupirocin 2.0% w/w in a dermatological ointment base.

Description:
Mupinate Ointment is a topical antibacterial formulation used for the treatment of superficial skin infections such as impetigo, folliculitis, and minor traumatic lesions infected by susceptible bacteria. Mupirocin works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, effectively stopping bacterial growth and promoting faster healing. Its smooth ointment base allows easy application and provides a protective layer over the affected area.

Precautions:
Use only externally and avoid contact with the eyes, mouth, or mucosal surfaces. Apply to clean and dry skin, and do not cover with airtight dressings unless advised by a physician. Do not use on large or deep wounds without medical supervision. If irritation, increased redness, or no improvement is seen within a few days, discontinue use and consult a healthcare provider. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should use this product only if recommended by a doctor.

Adverse Effects:
Mild burning, stinging, itching, or redness may occur at the application site. Rarely, allergic reactions such as swelling or rash may develop.

Storage:
Store in a cool, dry place below 25°C, away from direct sunlight. Keep the tube tightly closed after each use and out of reach of children.
