Mupiperl Ointment (5G) (5G) Mupirocin 2% W/W By Alkem

Composition:
Mupirocin 2% w/w as the active ingredient.

Uses:
Used to treat certain bacterial skin infections, including impetigo and infected minor cuts, wounds, or abrasions caused by susceptible bacteria.

How to Use:
For external use only. Apply a small amount as a thin layer to the affected area as directed by your doctor, usually 2–3 times daily. Clean and dry the affected area before application. Wash your hands before and after use, unless the hands are being treated. Do not apply inside the eyes, mouth, or nose unless specifically prescribed for that area.

Precautions & Warnings:
Do not use if you are allergic to Mupirocin or any of its ingredients. Avoid prolonged or repeated use, as this may lead to resistant bacteria or fungal overgrowth. Inform your doctor if the infection worsens or does not improve during treatment.

Possible Side Effects:
Common side effects may include burning, stinging, itching, redness, or dryness at the application site. Stop use and seek medical advice if you develop severe irritation, swelling, rash, or other signs of an allergic reaction.

Pregnancy & Breastfeeding:
If you are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding, consult your doctor before using Mupirocin. If applying to the breast or nipple area, wash the area thoroughly before breastfeeding.

Storage:
Store at room temperature in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date.

Important Safety Information:
Use Mupirocin only on the skin and for the prescribed duration. Do not use it for viral or fungal infections unless specifically advised by your doctor. Avoid getting the medicine into the eyes; if accidental contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water.
