What is it used for?
Used to reduce fever and relieve mild to moderate pain, such as body aches, headache, toothache or pain associated with inflammation.

How does it work?
Mefenamic acid reduces the production of substances that cause pain, inflammation and fever. Paracetamol helps reduce pain and fever through a different action.

How to take/use it
For oral use only. Shake the bottle well before use and measure the dose with the supplied measuring device. Use only the dose and duration directed by a doctor or pharmacist, as dosing depends on the child's age and weight. It is best given with or after food. Do not give with other medicines containing paracetamol or mefenamic acid unless advised by a healthcare professional.

Common side effects
Nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, indigestion, diarrhoea or dizziness may occur.

Precautions
Do not use in people allergic to mefenamic acid, paracetamol, aspirin or other anti-inflammatory painkillers. Seek medical advice before use in case of stomach ulcer or bleeding, kidney or liver disease, asthma triggered by painkillers, dehydration, or a bleeding disorder. Stop use and seek urgent medical help for breathing difficulty, facial swelling, severe skin rash, black stools, vomiting blood, or severe stomach pain. Do not exceed the recommended dose.
