What is it used for?
Used to relieve pain and reduce fever. It may be used for short-term relief of various types of pain, as directed by a doctor or pharmacist.

How does it work?
Paracetamol helps reduce pain and fever. Mefenamic acid is an anti-inflammatory medicine that reduces substances involved in pain, swelling and fever.

How to take/use it
Take by mouth only, exactly as directed by the doctor or pharmacist. Shake the bottle well and measure each dose with a suitable measuring device. Do not take it with other medicines containing paracetamol or mefenamic acid unless advised by a healthcare professional.

Common side effects
Nausea, vomiting, stomach discomfort, indigestion, diarrhoea, dizziness or headache.

Precautions
Tell the doctor if there is a history of stomach ulcer or bleeding, kidney or liver disease, asthma triggered by painkillers, or allergy to anti-inflammatory medicines. Avoid combining it with other paracetamol-containing or NSAID pain medicines unless advised. Seek medical help for severe stomach pain, black stools, vomiting blood, breathing difficulty, facial swelling, severe skin rash or yellowing of the skin or eyes. Use during pregnancy only on medical advice, and do not use in the last three months of pregnancy unless specifically prescribed.
