Nitrofuder 100 Tabs (20X10) Nitrofurantoin 100Mg by Elder

What is it used for?
Nitrofurantoin is an antibiotic used mainly to treat bacterial urinary tract infections (UTIs), including bladder infections. It does not treat viral infections.

How does it work?
It damages essential parts of susceptible bacteria, stopping them from growing and surviving in the urinary tract.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as prescribed and complete the full course, even if symptoms improve. Taking it with food or milk may help reduce stomach upset. Do not share leftover antibiotics with others.

Common side effects
Nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, diarrhoea, headache, and stomach discomfort may occur. Urine may become dark yellow or brown, which is usually harmless.

Precautions
Tell the doctor if there is kidney disease, liver disease, lung disease, anaemia, G6PD deficiency, or a history of nerve problems. Nitrofurantoin may not be suitable near the end of pregnancy or for some newborns. Seek medical help for breathing difficulty, persistent cough, yellowing of the skin or eyes, numbness or tingling, severe diarrhoea, or an allergic reaction.
