What is it used for?
Xylometazoline nasal drops or spray provide short-term relief from a blocked or stuffy nose due to colds, sinus congestion or allergic rhinitis.

How does it work?
It narrows swollen blood vessels inside the nose, reducing swelling and helping air pass more easily.

How to take/use it
Use only in the nose and follow the product label or prescriber’s instructions. Do not swallow it, share it with others, or use it for longer than recommended, as prolonged use can worsen nasal blockage.

Common side effects
Nasal dryness, irritation, burning or discomfort, sneezing, headache, or a temporary increase in congestion after the effect wears off.

Precautions
Seek medical advice before use if there is high blood pressure, heart disease, overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, or use of certain antidepressants such as MAO inhibitors.
