What is it used for?
Dicyclomine is used to relieve stomach and intestinal cramps, spasms and pain, including symptoms associated with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).

How does it work?
It relaxes the muscles of the stomach and intestines and reduces spasms by blocking certain nerve signals.

How to take/use it
Use only in the dose and by the route prescribed by the doctor. Do not use more often or for longer than advised. If it is a liquid medicine, measure it with a proper measuring device rather than a household spoon.

Common side effects
Dry mouth, dizziness, drowsiness, blurred vision, constipation, nausea and weakness may occur.

Precautions
Use with medical advice if there is glaucoma, difficulty passing urine, prostate enlargement, blockage of the stomach or intestine, severe ulcerative colitis, or myasthenia gravis. Avoid driving or operating machinery if dizzy, drowsy or experiencing blurred vision. Seek medical help for severe abdominal pain, swelling, vomiting, inability to pass stools or gas, or vision problems.
