Description:

Oflokem 200 Tablet contains Ofloxacin, a broad-spectrum fluoroquinolone antibacterial agent effective against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. It works by inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, enzymes essential for bacterial replication and repair.
It is used to treat infections of the respiratory tract, urinary tract, skin, gastrointestinal tract, and genitals.

Warnings & Precautions:

Use cautiously in patients with CNS disorders (risk of seizures).

May cause tendon inflammation or rupture — stop use if pain/swelling occurs.

Avoid excessive sunlight exposure (photosensitivity).

Maintain adequate hydration during therapy.

Dose adjustment may be required in renal impairment.

Adverse Effects:

Common: Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, headache, dizziness

Occasional: Insomnia, rash, pruritus, fatigue

Rare: Tendon rupture, phototoxic reactions, QT prolongation, hepatic dysfunction
