Composition:

Each 5 ml suspension contains:

Ofloxacin 50 mg, Metronidazole 120 mg, Simethicone 10 mg

Description:

Oflotas-MZ Suspension is a triple-combination formulation used to treat gastrointestinal infections.

Together, the combination provides comprehensive relief from infectious diarrhea, abdominal discomfort, and gas-related symptoms.

Warnings and Precautions:

Avoid use in patients with a known history of seizures, tendon disorders, or neuropathy (due to Ofloxacin).

Avoid alcohol consumption during Metronidazole therapy and for 48 hours after stopping it (risk of disulfiram-like reaction).

Use with caution in patients with hepatic impairment.

Not recommended in pregnancy or breastfeeding unless prescribed.

May cause dizziness; avoid driving or operating machinery.

Avoid unnecessary or prolonged use to prevent antimicrobial resistance.

Adverse Effects:

Common: Nausea, vomiting, Diarrhea or abdominal cramps, Metallic taste, Headache or dizziness, Gas relief (from Simethicone)

Less common:

Allergic reactions, Peripheral neuropathy (rare), Tendon pain or inflammation (rare but serious), Dark-colored urine (due to Metronidazole)

Storage:

Store below 30°C in a cool, dry place.
