What is it used for?
This combination is used to treat certain infectious diarrhoea and loose motions, including infections caused by bacteria or parasites. Simethicone helps relieve gas, bloating and abdominal discomfort that may occur with these digestive infections.

How does it work?
Ofloxacin fights susceptible bacteria, while metronidazole acts against certain bacteria and parasites. Simethicone helps gas bubbles join together so they can pass more easily.

How to take/use it
Take only as prescribed by a doctor. Shake the suspension well before use and measure each dose with the supplied measuring device. Complete the prescribed course unless a doctor advises otherwise. Drink enough fluids to help prevent dehydration.

Common side effects
Nausea, vomiting, stomach discomfort, diarrhoea, headache, dizziness, metallic taste or dry mouth may occur.

Precautions
Avoid alcohol during treatment and for the period advised by the doctor after the last dose. Tell the doctor about pregnancy, breastfeeding, liver or kidney problems, seizures, tendon disorders, or a history of nerve problems. Inform the doctor about all medicines being taken, especially blood thinners, antacids and mineral supplements. Seek medical help for severe or persistent diarrhoea, blood in the stool, severe abdominal pain, allergic reactions, tendon pain or numbness and tingling.
