Olmetan 20 Am Tabs (10X10) Olmesartan 20 Mg + Amlodipine 5 Mg by Elder

What is it used for?
Olmesartan 20 mg + amlodipine 5 mg is used to lower high blood pressure (hypertension). Controlling blood pressure helps reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke and other blood pressure-related complications.

How does it work?
Olmesartan relaxes blood vessels by blocking the action of a hormone that narrows them. Amlodipine also relaxes and widens blood vessels, helping blood flow more easily and lowering blood pressure.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as prescribed by the doctor, at the same time each day. Swallow the tablet with water and do not stop it without medical advice, even if feeling well. If a dose is missed, follow the instructions provided by the doctor or pharmacist.

Common side effects
Dizziness, headache, tiredness, flushing, palpitations, nausea and swelling of the ankles or feet may occur. Contact a doctor if these effects are severe or persistent.

Precautions
Tell the doctor if there is kidney or liver disease, dehydration, low blood pressure, or a history of swelling of the face or throat with blood-pressure medicines. Regular monitoring of blood pressure and kidney function may be advised. Avoid use during pregnancy unless specifically directed by a doctor, and inform the doctor about all other medicines, including potassium supplements and painkillers such as ibuprofen. Seek urgent medical help for swelling of the face, lips or tongue or difficulty breathing.
