What is it used for?
This medicine is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension), especially when treatment with more than one blood-pressure medicine is needed.

How does it work?
Olmesartan relaxes blood vessels, while amlodipine widens them to improve blood flow. Hydrochlorothiazide helps the kidneys remove extra salt and water, lowering the amount of fluid in the body and reducing blood pressure.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as prescribed, preferably at the same time each day. It may usually be taken with or without food. Do not change the dose or stop treatment without medical advice. If a dose is missed, follow the instructions provided by the doctor or pharmacist.

Common side effects
Dizziness, headache, tiredness, ankle or foot swelling, increased urination, nausea, and mild stomach upset.

Precautions
Monitor blood pressure regularly. Tell the doctor about kidney or liver disease, dehydration, gout, diabetes, or low sodium or potassium levels. Do not use during pregnancy unless specifically advised; olmesartan can harm an unborn baby. Avoid potassium supplements or potassium-containing salt substitutes unless recommended by a doctor. Blood tests may be needed to check kidney function and electrolyte levels. Seek urgent help for severe dizziness, fainting, or swelling of the face, lips, or tongue.
