What is it used for?
This combination is used to treat acid reflux, heartburn and other acidity-related digestive symptoms. Domperidone may also help relieve associated nausea, vomiting or a feeling of fullness when prescribed by a doctor.

How does it work?
Omeprazole reduces the production of stomach acid. Domperidone helps improve movement of food through the stomach and can reduce nausea and vomiting.

How to take/use it
Take only as prescribed by a doctor or as directed on the label. Swallow the enteric-coated pellets whole with water; do not crush or chew them. Do not take more or use it for longer than recommended.

Common side effects
Headache, nausea, stomach pain, gas, diarrhoea, constipation and dry mouth may occur.

Precautions
Use only under medical advice if there is a history of heart rhythm problems, fainting, significant liver disease, gastrointestinal bleeding or blockage. Domperidone can rarely cause serious heart rhythm disturbances and may interact with some medicines, including certain antibiotics, antifungals and medicines affecting heart rhythm. Seek urgent medical help for palpitations, fainting or severe dizziness. Consult a doctor if symptoms persist or recur frequently, or before prolonged use.
