What is it used for?
Esomeprazole is used to reduce excess stomach acid and treat acidity, heartburn and acid reflux. It may also be prescribed for stomach or intestinal ulcers and other acid-related conditions.

How does it work?
It reduces the production of acid in the stomach by blocking the stomach’s acid-producing pumps. This helps relieve symptoms and allows acid-damaged tissues to heal.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as prescribed, usually before food. Swallow the capsule or tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew it unless specifically instructed. Follow the prescribed dose and treatment duration.

Common side effects
Headache, nausea, stomach pain, diarrhoea, constipation and gas.

Precautions
