Ometech 40Mg (10 Ml) Omeprazole 40 Mg By Protech

What is it used for?
Omeprazole is used to reduce excess stomach acid and treat acidity, heartburn, acid reflux (GERD) and stomach or duodenal ulcers. It may also be used with antibiotics for certain stomach infections or to help prevent ulcers caused by some pain medicines, when prescribed.

How does it work?
It reduces the production of stomach acid by blocking acid-producing pumps in the stomach. This helps relieve heartburn and allows acid-related irritation or ulcers to heal.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as prescribed, usually before a meal. Swallow the capsule or tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew it unless specifically instructed. Do not change the dose or duration without medical advice.

Common side effects
Headache, nausea, stomach pain, gas, diarrhoea or constipation.

Precautions
Tell a doctor if there is difficulty swallowing, unexplained weight loss, repeated vomiting, vomiting blood or black stools. Seek medical advice for persistent or worsening symptoms. Long-term use should be monitored, as it may rarely affect vitamin B12 or magnesium levels and bone health. Tell a doctor about other medicines being used, especially blood thinners or medicines for HIV or fungal infections.
