Ondanaus Syrup (Ondansetron 2 Mg)

Composition:

Each 5 ml of syrup contains:

Ondansetron 2 mg,Excipients: q.s.

Description:

Ondanaus Syrup contains Ondansetron, a selective 5-HT3 receptor antagonist.
It works by blocking serotonin receptors in the gastrointestinal tract and the central nervous system, thereby preventing and relieving nausea and vomiting.
The syrup formulation is particularly useful for children, elderly, and patients who have difficulty swallowing tablets.

It is commonly indicated for:

Prevention of nausea and vomiting associated with chemotherapy or radiotherapy

Postoperative nausea and vomiting (PONV)

Other causes of acute nausea and vomiting as prescribed by a physician

Warnings and Precautions:

For oral use only.

Use with caution in patients with liver impairment.

Avoid in patients with known hypersensitivity to Ondansetron.

May cause QT prolongation; use carefully in patients with heart rhythm disorders.

Not recommended for pregnant or lactating women unless prescribed.

Inform the physician about other medications, especially apomorphine or drugs that affect heart rhythm.

Adverse Effects:

Common: Headache, constipation, diarrhea, mild dizziness.

Occasional: Fatigue, transient flushing.

Rare: Allergic reactions such as rash, hypotension, or arrhythmia.

Storage:

Store below 25°C, in a cool, dry place, protected from light.

Keep the bottle tightly closed.
