Ondet Syrup (Ondansetron 2 mg)

Composition:

Each 5 ml contains:

Ondansetron Hydrochloride IP 2 mg

Description:

Ondet Syrup contains Ondansetron, a selective serotonin (5-HT₃) receptor blocker. It is commonly used to manage nausea and vomiting associated with various conditions. The oral syrup formulation ensures easy administration, especially in children and elderly patients. It provides rapid onset of action and good tolerability.

Warnings and Precautions:

Use with caution in patients with hepatic impairment, as dose adjustment may be required.

May cause QT interval prolongation; use carefully in patients with cardiac disorders or those taking QT-prolonging drugs.

Monitor if the patient is on drugs that affect electrolyte balance (e.g., diuretics).

Inform the doctor about any history of hypersensitivity to Ondansetron or other 5-HT₃ antagonists.

Adverse Effects:

Common side effects may include:

Headache, Constipation, Fatigue or dizziness, Warmth or flushing sensation

Less common:

Transient rise in liver enzymes

Allergic reactions (rare)
