What is it used for?
Ondansetron is used to prevent and treat nausea and vomiting, including those caused by chemotherapy, radiotherapy or surgery, as prescribed by a doctor.

How does it work?
It blocks serotonin signals that can trigger nausea and vomiting.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as prescribed. Peel back the foil carefully, place the mouth-dissolving tablet on the tongue and allow it to dissolve before swallowing. Do not change the dose or duration without medical advice.

Common side effects
Headache, constipation, diarrhoea, dizziness and tiredness.

Precautions
Tell the doctor if there is a history of irregular heartbeat, long QT syndrome, low potassium or magnesium levels, liver disease, or use of medicines that affect heart rhythm. Seek medical help for fainting, a fast or irregular heartbeat, severe allergic symptoms or unusual agitation, sweating, fever, muscle stiffness or tremors.
