Oridoxil 250 Tabs (10X10) Cefadroxil 250Mg, Lactic Acid Bacillus by Elder

What is it used for?
Cefadroxil is an antibiotic used to treat infections caused by susceptible bacteria, such as certain infections of the throat, skin, urinary tract and other areas. Lactic acid bacillus is included to help support healthy gut bacteria during antibiotic treatment. It will not treat viral infections such as colds or flu.

How does it work?
Cefadroxil kills susceptible bacteria by preventing them from forming their protective cell wall. Lactic acid bacillus is a beneficial bacterium that helps maintain the natural balance of microorganisms in the intestine.

How to take/use it
Take exactly as prescribed and complete the full course, even if symptoms improve. It may be taken with food if it causes stomach upset. Do not stop treatment or change the dose without medical advice.

Common side effects
Nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, stomach discomfort and mild skin rash may occur.

Precautions
Tell the doctor about any allergy to cefadroxil, other cephalosporin antibiotics or penicillin-type antibiotics. Inform the doctor if there is kidney disease. Seek medical advice for severe or persistent diarrhoea, or signs of a serious allergy such as facial swelling, breathing difficulty or a widespread rash. Use only when prescribed, and do not use it for viral infections.
