What is it used for?
Pancreatin is used to replace digestive enzymes when the pancreas does not make enough of them. It helps the body digest fats, proteins and carbohydrates, and may reduce symptoms such as greasy stools, bloating and poor digestion caused by pancreatic enzyme deficiency.

How does it work?
It contains digestive enzymes, including lipase, amylase and protease. These enzymes help break down fats, carbohydrates and proteins in food so they can be absorbed.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as prescribed or directed on the product label. It is generally taken during or immediately after meals and snacks. Swallow the dosage form as directed; do not crush or chew enteric-coated preparations unless specifically advised.

Common side effects
Abdominal pain, bloating, nausea, constipation or diarrhoea may occur. Mouth irritation can occur if the medicine is chewed.

Precautions
