What is it used for?
Pantoprazole 40 mg is used to reduce excess stomach acid and treat acidity, heartburn, acid reflux (GERD), and stomach or intestinal ulcers.

How does it work?
It reduces the production of acid in the stomach by blocking acid-producing pumps in the stomach lining.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as prescribed. Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew it. It is commonly taken before food, but follow the instructions on the label or from the doctor.

Common side effects
Headache, diarrhoea, nausea, stomach pain, vomiting, constipation, or gas.
