What is it used for?
Pantoprazole and domperidone SR are used for acid reflux, heartburn and related indigestion symptoms, especially when these may occur with nausea, vomiting or a feeling of fullness.

How does it work?
Pantoprazole reduces the production of stomach acid. Domperidone helps food move through the stomach and can reduce nausea and vomiting.

How to take/use it
Take only as prescribed by the doctor. Swallow the sustained-release capsule or tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew it. Follow the prescribed timing, which may be before a meal.

Common side effects
Headache, diarrhoea, nausea, stomach pain, dry mouth and constipation may occur.

Precautions
Do not use without medical advice if there is a history of irregular heartbeat, heart disease, significant liver disease, or low potassium or magnesium levels. Domperidone can rarely cause serious heart-rhythm problems; seek urgent medical help for fainting, severe dizziness or a fast or irregular heartbeat. Tell the doctor about all medicines being taken, especially medicines that affect heart rhythm. Seek medical advice for vomiting blood, black stools, difficulty swallowing, unexplained weight loss or persistent symptoms. Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding only on medical advice.
