Panta Iv (Vial) Pantaprazole Sodium 40Mg Inj by Elder

What is it used for?
Pantoprazole injection is used to reduce excess stomach acid and treat conditions such as acidity, heartburn, acid reflux and stomach ulcers. It may be used when treatment by mouth is not suitable.

How does it work?
It blocks the stomach’s acid-producing proton pumps, thereby reducing the amount of acid made in the stomach.

How to take/use it
This injection must be given into a vein by a doctor or trained healthcare professional. It should not be self-administered. Use it only as prescribed, and follow the recommended switch to oral treatment when advised.

Common side effects
Headache, diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, constipation, dizziness and redness or pain at the injection site may occur.

Precautions
Tell the doctor about allergies to pantoprazole or similar medicines, liver disease, pregnancy or breastfeeding. Seek medical advice for persistent diarrhoea, severe abdominal pain, rash, breathing difficulty or symptoms such as muscle cramps or unusual weakness. Long-term or repeated use should be medically monitored.
