What is it used for?
Pantoprazole 40 mg reduces excess stomach acid. It is commonly used for acidity, heartburn, acid reflux and related stomach or intestinal ulcers, as prescribed by a doctor.

How does it work?
It blocks the stomach’s acid-producing proton pumps, reducing the amount of acid released into the stomach.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as prescribed, usually before food. Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew it. The dose and treatment duration depend on the condition being treated.

Common side effects
Headache, diarrhoea, nausea, stomach pain, vomiting, constipation and gas.

Precautions
