Pantaderm + Oint (15Gm) Clobetasol Propionate 0.05% W/W + Neoymycin 0.1% W/W + Miconazole Nitrate 2.0%W/W by Elder

What is it used for?
This cream is used for certain inflamed skin conditions when fungal and bacterial infections are also present. It should be used only when prescribed, as the steroid component is very strong.

How does it work?
Clobetasol reduces redness, swelling and itching. Miconazole treats fungal infections, while neomycin treats certain bacterial infections.

How to take/use it
For external use only. Apply a thin layer to the affected skin exactly as prescribed. Wash hands before and after use, unless the hands are being treated. Do not use it for longer than advised.

Common side effects
Burning, stinging, itching, redness, dryness or irritation at the application site. Prolonged or improper use may cause skin thinning, stretch marks or changes in skin colour. Neomycin may cause an allergic skin reaction.

Precautions
Avoid the eyes, mouth and broken skin. Do not cover the treated area with a bandage or dressing unless advised. Do not use on the face, groin, skin folds or in children unless specifically prescribed. Avoid prolonged or repeated use, as clobetasol can cause skin damage and may worsen or mask an infection. Seek medical advice if the condition worsens or does not improve. Inform a doctor if pregnant or breastfeeding.
