What is it used for?
Pantoprazole is used to reduce excess stomach acid and treat acidity, heartburn, acid reflux (GERD), and acid-related stomach or intestinal ulcers.

How does it work?
It is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that blocks the acid-producing pumps in the stomach, thereby reducing stomach acid and helping the stomach lining heal.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as prescribed, usually before a meal. Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew it. Do not change the dose or stop treatment without medical advice.

Common side effects
Headache, diarrhoea, nausea, stomach pain, gas, constipation or dizziness.

Precautions
