What is it used for?
Pantoprazole injection is used to reduce excess stomach acid. It is commonly used for acid reflux, heartburn and inflammation or damage of the food pipe when treatment by injection is needed.

How does it work?
It blocks the stomach’s acid-producing proton pumps, reducing the amount of acid made in the stomach.

How to take/use it
This medicine is given into a vein by a doctor or nurse. The dose and duration depend on the condition being treated. Do not self-administer it or change treatment without medical advice.

Common side effects
Headache, diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, gas and dizziness may occur.

Precautions
