Description:
Pegabanyl 300 Capsule contains Pregabalin, an anticonvulsant and neuropathic pain-relieving agent. It is a structural analogue of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) that binds to the α₂-δ subunit of voltage-gated calcium channels in the central nervous system, reducing the release of excitatory neurotransmitters such as glutamate, noradrenaline, and substance P.

This mechanism helps in reducing neuropathic pain, controlling partial seizures, and managing generalized anxiety disorder.

Warnings and Precautions:

Use with caution in patients with renal impairment; dosage adjustment may be necessary.

May cause drowsiness, dizziness, or blurred vision—avoid driving or operating machinery.

Avoid abrupt discontinuation; taper dose gradually to prevent withdrawal symptoms.

Use cautiously in patients with history of substance abuse.

Not recommended during pregnancy or lactation unless prescribed.

Adverse Effects:
