What is it used for?
This prescription combination is used to relieve nerve pain (neuropathic pain), including pain caused by nerve damage. It is not usually intended for ordinary short-term pain such as a minor injury.

How does it work?
Pregabalin helps reduce abnormal nerve signals involved in pain. Nortriptyline changes the activity of certain brain chemicals, helping reduce the transmission of pain signals.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as prescribed, at the same time each day, with or without food as directed. Do not change the dose or stop it suddenly without medical advice. If a dose is missed, follow the instructions provided by the prescriber or pharmacist.

Common side effects
Dizziness, sleepiness, tiredness, blurred vision, dry mouth, constipation, nausea, swelling of the feet or ankles, and weight gain.

Precautions
Avoid alcohol and be careful driving or operating machinery until the effect is known. Tell the doctor about kidney disease, glaucoma, difficulty passing urine, heart problems, depression, pregnancy, or breastfeeding. Seek medical help for severe allergic swelling, breathing difficulty, extreme sleepiness, or unusual mood changes or thoughts of self-harm. Do not take it with other sedating medicines unless advised by a doctor.
