PIPRATECH-2.25 VAIL (Piperacillin 2Gm+ Tazobactum 0.25Gm)

Composition:

Piperacillin 2 g + Tazobactam 0.25 g per vial

Description:

PIPRATECH-2.25 Vial contains a combination of Piperacillin, a broad-spectrum penicillin antibiotic, and Tazobactam, a beta-lactamase inhibitor that enhances the antibacterial activity of Piperacillin. This combination is used to treat moderate to severe bacterial infections such as respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, intra-abdominal infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and septicemia caused by susceptible Gram-positive and Gram-negative organisms.

Precautions:

PIPRATECH should be used only under medical supervision. Caution is advised in patients with a history of allergy to penicillins or other beta-lactam antibiotics. Dose adjustment may be required in renal impairment. Monitor for signs of superinfection in prolonged therapy. Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding only if clearly indicated. Inform the physician of all current medications to avoid interactions.

Adverse Effects:

Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, rash, and injection site pain. Rare but serious adverse effects include hypersensitivity reactions, anaphylaxis, liver enzyme elevation, hematological abnormalities, and Clostridium difficile–associated diarrhea.

Storage:

Store below 25°C, protected from light and moisture. Reconstitute with the recommended diluent just before administration. Use the prepared solution within the advised time frame. Keep out of reach of children and do not use after the expiry date.
