Description

Potassium Permanganate Powder is a strong oxidizing antiseptic used for dilution in water to create a disinfectant solution.
It is commonly used for:

Cleansing of infected wounds and ulcers

Fungal infections (athlete’s foot, eczema with secondary infection)

Dermatitis and exudative skin conditions

Sitz baths in gynecological and rectal infections

When dissolved, it forms a light pink to deep purple solution depending on concentration.

Precautions

For external use only after proper dilution.

Never apply the undiluted powder directly to skin (may cause burns).

Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, or mucous membranes.

Use with caution in children; ensure correct dilution.

Do not mix with glycerin, alcohol, or organic materials (risk of fire/explosion).

Avoid inhalation of powder.

Stop use if irritation, burning, or skin discoloration occurs.

Adverse Effects

Skin irritation or burning (especially if too concentrated).

Brown staining of skin and fabrics.

Rare: chemical burns with high-strength solutions.
