What is it used for?
This combination is commonly used to help prevent the formation or recurrence of certain kidney stones, particularly calcium oxalate stones. Its exact use should be confirmed by a doctor based on urine and kidney test results.

How does it work?
Potassium citrate makes the urine less acidic and citrate can help reduce the formation of some crystals. Magnesium citrate and vitamin B6 may also support the reduction of oxalate-related stone formation.

How to take/use it

Common side effects
Nausea, stomach discomfort, diarrhoea, vomiting or abdominal bloating may occur.

Precautions

Inform the doctor about medicines used for blood pressure or fluid retention, especially potassium supplements, potassium-sparing diuretics, ACE inhibitors or ARBs.
