What is it used for?
Povidone iodine 5% is used as an antiseptic to help clean minor cuts, grazes and other superficial skin wounds and reduce the risk of infection.

How does it work?
It releases iodine, which kills or inactivates many types of germs on the skin, including bacteria, viruses and fungi.

How to take/use it
For external use only. Clean the affected area and apply the product as directed on the label or by a healthcare professional. Avoid contact with the eyes and do not swallow it.

Common side effects
Mild skin irritation, redness, dryness or itching may occur. Allergic reactions are uncommon but possible.
