What is it used for?
This combipack is prescribed to medically terminate an early intrauterine pregnancy. It should be used only after assessment by a qualified healthcare professional and is not suitable for an ectopic pregnancy.

How does it work?
Mifepristone blocks progesterone, a hormone needed to maintain pregnancy. Misoprostol softens the cervix and causes uterine contractions to help expel the pregnancy.

How to take/use it
Use the tablets exactly as prescribed, including the correct order and timing. Do not self-use this medicine or change the regimen without medical advice. A follow-up check is needed to confirm that the pregnancy has ended completely.

Common side effects
Abdominal cramps, vaginal bleeding, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, headache, dizziness, chills and temporary fever may occur.

Precautions
Do not use without medical assessment to rule out ectopic pregnancy and confirm the pregnancy stage. Tell the healthcare professional about bleeding disorders, use of blood thinners, long-term corticosteroid treatment, adrenal problems, allergies, or an intrauterine device. Seek urgent medical care for very heavy or prolonged bleeding, severe or one-sided abdominal pain, fainting, persistent fever, severe weakness, or foul-smelling vaginal discharge.
