What is it used for?
Paracetamol 500 mg is used to reduce fever and relieve mild to moderate pain, such as headache, body pain, toothache and muscle aches.

How does it work?
It reduces the production of chemical signals involved in pain and helps lower raised body temperature.

How to take/use it
Take by mouth with water, following the dose and timing on the package or as directed by a doctor or pharmacist. Do not take more than the recommended amount or use it with other medicines containing paracetamol.

Common side effects
It is usually well tolerated when used correctly. Nausea or a skin rash may occur.

Precautions
Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if there is liver disease, regular alcohol use or poor nutrition. Avoid combining it with other paracetamol-containing products.
