What is it used for?
Used to relieve acidity, heartburn and acid reflux symptoms. The domperidone component may also help with nausea, bloating and slow stomach emptying associated with these symptoms.

How does it work?
Rabeprazole reduces the amount of acid produced in the stomach. Domperidone helps food move through the stomach and may reduce nausea and vomiting.

How to take/use it
Take only as prescribed. It is generally taken before food. Swallow the sustained-release capsule or tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew it. Do not take more or use it for longer than advised.

Common side effects
Headache, diarrhoea, constipation, stomach pain, nausea, dry mouth and dizziness may occur.

Precautions
Tell the doctor about liver or kidney problems, heart disease, an irregular heartbeat, or a history of low potassium or magnesium. Domperidone can rarely affect heart rhythm, so inform the doctor about all medicines being taken, especially medicines that affect heart rhythm or certain antibiotics and antifungals. Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding only on medical advice. Seek urgent medical help for fainting, fast or irregular heartbeat, vomiting blood or black stools.
