Ranzonel 500 Tabs (10X10) Ranolazine 500Mg Extended Release by Elder

What is it used for?
Ranolazine extended-release tablets are used to help prevent and reduce symptoms of chronic stable angina, such as chest pain or discomfort caused by reduced blood flow to the heart. It is not used to treat a sudden angina attack.

How does it work?
It helps the heart use energy more efficiently and reduces changes in heart muscle cells that can contribute to angina symptoms.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as prescribed, with or without food. Swallow the extended-release tablet whole with water; do not crush, chew or break it. Do not stop treatment without medical advice.

Common side effects
Dizziness, headache, constipation, nausea and weakness.

Precautions
Tell the doctor about any heart rhythm problems, liver disease or kidney disease. Ranolazine can prolong the QT interval and may cause abnormal heart rhythms in some people. Tell the doctor or pharmacist about all medicines being taken, as several medicines can interact with it. Avoid grapefruit or grapefruit juice unless advised otherwise. Seek urgent medical help for fainting, a fast or irregular heartbeat, or severe dizziness.
