Description

Retro-5 is a topical vasodilator used to promote hair growth in androgenetic alopecia (male pattern baldness). It works by opening potassium channels, which increases blood flow to hair follicles and stimulates hair regrowth when used continuously.

Precautions

Use only on a clean, dry scalp.

Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, or broken skin — rinse with water if accidental contact.

Do not apply more than prescribed — overuse does not speed up hair growth and may increase side effects.

Continue use indefinitely to maintain hair regrowth; stopping can cause hair loss again.

Not recommended in individuals under 18 or over 65 without medical advice.

Use with care if you have cardiovascular disease or high blood pressure.

Avoid use during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless directed by a doctor.

Avoid fire or open flame — the solution may be flammable (due to alcohol content).

Adverse Effects

Itching or irritation of the scalp

Excessive hair growth in unintended areas (if the solution drips)

Dermatitis or rash

Initial hair shedding in the first few weeks (“shedding phase”)

Rare: headache, dizziness, rapid heartbeat, fluid retention

Store below 25–30 °C in a cool, dry place.
