What is it used for?
Used to treat bacterial eye infections accompanied by redness, swelling or inflammation. It should be used only when prescribed by a healthcare professional.

How does it work?
Ofloxacin is an antibiotic that stops the growth of susceptible bacteria. Dexamethasone reduces eye inflammation, while hydroxypropylmethylcellulose helps lubricate the eye.

How to take/use it
Use in the eye exactly as prescribed. Wash hands before use and avoid touching the dropper tip to the eye or any surface. Remove contact lenses before use and ask the prescriber when they may be worn again. Do not use it for longer than advised.

Common side effects
Temporary stinging or burning, eye irritation, blurred vision after application, watery eyes or an unpleasant taste in the mouth may occur.

Precautions
Do not use if allergic to ofloxacin, dexamethasone or similar medicines. Steroid-containing eye medicines may worsen undiagnosed viral or fungal eye infections and may increase eye pressure or delay healing when used for too long. Seek medical advice if eye pain, worsening redness, vision changes or severe irritation occurs. Avoid driving until temporary blurred vision clears.
