What is it used for?
Used to treat bacterial infections of the eye. The hydroxypropylmethylcellulose component helps lubricate and soothe the eye surface. It will not treat viral or fungal eye infections.

How does it work?
Ofloxacin is an antibiotic that stops the growth of bacteria by interfering with essential bacterial enzymes. Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose forms a lubricating layer over the eye surface.

How to take/use it
Use only in the eye and exactly as prescribed. Wash hands before use, avoid touching the dropper tip to the eye or other surfaces, and do not share the bottle. If temporary blurred vision occurs, avoid driving until vision is clear.

Common side effects
Temporary burning or stinging, eye irritation, redness, itching, watering, or blurred vision may occur after application.

Precautions
Do not use if allergic to ofloxacin or other quinolone antibiotics. Remove contact lenses before use and ask a healthcare professional when they can be worn again. Stop use and seek medical advice for severe pain, worsening redness or swelling, rash, breathing difficulty, or vision changes. Seek medical advice if the infection does not improve or worsens.
