What is it used for?
This medicine is used with diet and lifestyle changes to treat high cholesterol and high triglyceride levels, especially mixed cholesterol and triglyceride problems. It may help reduce the risk of heart and blood vessel disease when prescribed by a doctor.

How does it work?
Rosuvastatin reduces the liver’s production of cholesterol and helps remove LDL (“bad”) cholesterol from the blood. Fenofibrate mainly lowers triglycerides and may increase HDL (“good”) cholesterol.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as prescribed by the doctor and at the same time each day. Follow the product label regarding food, and do not change the dose or stop treatment without medical advice. Continue recommended diet and exercise changes.

Common side effects
Headache, nausea, stomach discomfort, constipation and muscle aches may occur. Contact a doctor if side effects are troublesome or persistent.

Precautions
Tell the doctor about liver or kidney disease, gallbladder problems, thyroid disease, heavy alcohol use, pregnancy or breastfeeding. Seek medical help for severe or unexplained muscle pain or weakness, dark urine, yellowing of the skin or eyes, or severe abdominal pain. Inform the doctor about all other medicines, especially blood thinners, cyclosporine and other cholesterol-lowering medicines, as the risk of side effects may increase.
