Description:
S-Mono 20 Tablet contains Isosorbide Mononitrate, a nitrate that relaxes vascular smooth muscles, leading to vasodilation and reduced myocardial oxygen demand. It is primarily used in the prevention and long-term management of angina pectoris due to coronary artery disease. It improves blood flow to the heart and reduces the frequency of angina attacks.

Warnings and Precautions:

For prophylactic use only; not for acute angina attacks.

Avoid sudden withdrawal to prevent rebound angina.

Use with caution in patients with hypotension, hypovolemia, or increased intracranial pressure.

Concurrent use with phosphodiesterase inhibitors (e.g., sildenafil, tadalafil) is contraindicated due to severe hypotension risk.

May cause dizziness; avoid driving or operating machinery if affected.

Use cautiously in the elderly and patients with hepatic or renal impairment.

Adverse Effects:
Headache, dizziness, flushing, hypotension, tachycardia, and nausea.
