What is it used for?
Used on the skin to treat scabies, a parasitic skin infestation that causes intense itching and a rash. It may also be prescribed for certain lice infestations.

How does it work?
Gamma benzene hexachloride kills scabies mites and lice. Cetrimide helps provide antiseptic action on the skin.

How to take/use it
For external use only. Apply exactly as directed on the product label or by a doctor. Avoid the eyes, mouth and other mucous membranes, wash hands after use, and do not apply to broken or severely inflamed skin unless advised by a doctor. Do not use more than directed.

Common side effects
Skin irritation, burning, redness, dryness or increased itching may occur. Stop use and seek medical help for severe irritation, dizziness, tremors or seizures.

Precautions
Do not swallow. Avoid contact with the eyes and mucous membranes. Use only under medical advice in children, older adults, pregnancy or breastfeeding, or in people with a history of seizures. Do not apply to broken skin or use repeatedly or excessively, as this can increase the risk of serious nervous-system effects.
