Scabnil Lotion (50Ml) Permethrin 5% by Elder

What is it used for?
Permethrin 5% is used to treat scabies, a skin infestation caused by mites. It helps kill the mites and their eggs.

How does it work?
It acts on the nervous system of scabies mites, killing them and helping stop the infestation.

How to take/use it
Use only on the skin and follow the product label or prescriber's instructions. For scabies, apply a thin layer to the affected areas as directed, avoiding the eyes, mouth and other sensitive areas. Wash your hands after applying it, unless the hands are being treated. Wash off as instructed. Close household contacts may also need treatment, and clothing, towels and bedding should be washed as advised.

Common side effects
Temporary itching, burning, stinging, redness, dryness or skin irritation may occur. Itching can continue for some time after the mites have been treated.

Precautions
For external use only. Avoid contact with the eyes, mouth and broken or severely irritated skin. Do not use more often or apply more than recommended. Seek medical advice if irritation is severe, symptoms worsen, or itching continues without improvement. Use in young children, pregnancy or breastfeeding only after medical advice.
