Scabnil Soap (75Gm) Permethrin 1% W/W by Elder

What is it used for?
Permethrin 1% is used to treat head lice and their eggs (nits) on the scalp and hair.

How does it work?
It kills head lice by disrupting their nervous system. It may not kill all eggs, so follow the product instructions carefully.

How to take/use it
For external use only. Apply to the scalp and hair exactly as directed on the product label. Avoid contact with the eyes, mouth and other mucous membranes. A fine-toothed comb may help remove dead lice and nits. Do not share combs, brushes, hats or towels.

Common side effects
Temporary itching, redness, burning, stinging or tingling of the scalp may occur.

Precautions
Do not use if allergic to permethrin, pyrethrins or any ingredient in the product. Avoid use on broken or severely irritated skin. Rinse immediately if it gets into the eyes. Seek medical advice if irritation is severe or does not improve, or if lice remain after using it as directed. Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use during pregnancy, breastfeeding or in very young children.
