Description:

Silospeed 8 contains silodosin, a selective α₁A-adrenergic receptor antagonist. It relaxes smooth muscle in the bladder neck and prostate, improving urine flow and reducing lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) associated with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).

Warnings & Precautions:

Orthostatic hypotension / dizziness: May cause symptomatic hypotension, especially on initiation — caution when standing and on concomitant antihypertensives or PDE-5 inhibitors.

Retrograde ejaculation / decreased ejaculatory volume: Relatively common and usually reversible on discontinuation. Discuss with patient before treatment.

Use cautiously in moderate renal or hepatic impairment; monitor clinically and consider dose modification.

Evaluate concomitant medications for interactions (CYP3A4 inhibitors, other antihypertensives, PDE-5 inhibitors).

Not indicated for women or children.

Adverse Effects:

Common: Dizziness, nasal congestion, abnormal ejaculation (including retrograde ejaculation), diarrhea, orthostatic symptoms.

Less common / rare: Fatigue, headache, orthostatic hypotension leading to syncope, hypersensitivity reactions, elevated liver enzymes.

If persistent or severe adverse effects occur (especially signs of hypotension or hepatic dysfunction), discontinue and seek medical review.
