Sitaglip 100 Tabs (20X7) Sitagliptin 100Mg by Elder

What is it used for?
Sitagliptin is used with diet and exercise to help control high blood sugar in adults with type 2 diabetes. It may be used alone or with other diabetes medicines. It is not used to treat type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis.

How does it work?
It helps the body release more insulin after meals and reduces the amount of sugar made by the liver. This helps lower blood sugar levels.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as prescribed, with or without food, and swallow the tablet with water. Take it regularly at the same time each day. If a dose is missed, take it when remembered unless it is nearly time for the next dose; do not take an extra dose. The dose may need adjustment in kidney problems.

Common side effects
Headache, nausea, stomach discomfort, common cold-like symptoms, and low blood sugar when used with insulin or sulfonylureas.

Precautions
Tell the doctor about kidney disease, previous pancreatitis, heart failure, or any allergy to this medicine. Seek medical help for severe or persistent abdominal pain, swelling of the face or throat, difficulty breathing, severe skin rash, or severe joint pain. Monitor blood sugar as advised and do not stop other diabetes medicines without medical advice.
